1. Do I like working with children?
Remember that although you can travel and study, you must cover a number of hours per week taking care of the little ones in the house where you are staying, so it is very important that in addition to having childcare experience, you like doing it. If you are not a fan of living with them, this may not be the program for you.
2. Am I willing to live abroad for a full year?
The Au Pair programs are designed so that you can live the cultural exchange for a year, you need to be committed for 12 full months to be able to do it, it is a time to consider being away from home, friends, your partner, the typical food of your country and even without your pets. Remember that you can always make new friends and you will have a family with you supporting you. But if you are looking for a program for a shorter period of time, you may need to consider other options.
3. Do I commit to meeting the requirements on my own?
Remember that if you decide to live the experience of being an Au Pair abroad, you will be developing your independence and that starts from the process in your country. You must be committed to submitting the necessary documents to complete your profile as well as meeting the basic requirements such as learning to drive, covering your hours babysitting and learning another language. You set your own times depending on when you want to be an Au Pair, your commitment is the most important and it depends only on you to live this adventure.
